Tips: Installation Guide for 12V DC to 24V DC Step-up Converter
- Check specifications: Ensure the load device can accept 24V DC output and that the DC-DC boost converter’s current rating (3A/4A/5A/8A/10A) matches the device’s requirements.
- Power off: The 12V DC input source (battery or power supply) should be turned off before wiring.
- Connect input and output: Connect the 12V source positive (+) wire to VIN+ and negative (−) wire to VIN−. Connect VOUT+ to the positive terminal of the 24V device and VOUT− to the negative terminal.
- Secure connections: All wires should be firmly connected; loose or exposed wires must be avoided to prevent short circuits.
- Power on and test: Turn on the 12V DC source, verify that the output voltage reads approximately 24V DC, connect the device, and confirm normal operation. Monitor for overheating during initial operation.
- Optional mounting: For permanent setups, the efficient DC-DC converter can be mounted in a ventilated, dry location. Despite the IP67 waterproof rating, prolonged exposure to water is not recommended.
