Measuring Direction and Installation

Application

Tips: What is the recommended installation and testing method for the 6-axis magnetic compass sensor?

For general testing, mount the magnetic heading sensor on a vertically erected aluminum or other non-magnetic rod to minimize rotation radius and improve heading accuracy, while ensuring rotation is perpendicular to the platform to avoid magnetic interference. For specific applications like vehicle installation, the absolute orientation sensor should be mounted perpendicular to the direction of travel.
